well you just won't have traction, whether it goes straight is your driving skills.

A sc on a non-posi car is pointless though. It sucks, we ran my brothers powerdyned car this fall without posi and it sucks. No traction. The posi and gears are waiting to be installed this winter

Why would you even wonder how much HP it would take to be just stupid to drive with an open diff? If you are planning on making some power in the future that should be one of the upgrades you do before you put in power-adders.

There is no point in putting any money into car if you arent going to put it in the right places...

              Re: Horsepower

I did not have a posi in my car for a while after i twas making good power. I used to have a data log of the car getting wheel spin when hitting it in third gear (drive)at almost 100mph. The car would not go anywhere with 1 wheel peel.

im calling :bs: on the previous statement. 100mph is pretty fast. i dont think Z28s, SS' or T/As with full bolt ons can get WHEELspin at 100mph

maybe u need new motor mounts? lol

He probably was doing 100mph according to his wheel spinning, but he was not actually going forward at 100mph. :)

Just FYI, he was running 23+ psi of boost with 3.08 gears ;)

I'd say its at least possible.
