the Camaro. It's a 93 3.4. I've seen quite a few people on here have to custom fab mounts, brackets, etc. and there was actually a pretty long thread on here on someone's S/C project. I am completely lost as to where to begin though. I have an idea when it comes to rigging up a turbo setup, but I think I want to go S/C. My A/C compressor for my car is shot and I really don't use A/C anyway. Would there be a way or would it be feasible/logical to rig up an S/C mount to go where the AC went or what? Btw, wasn't that same person with the recent long s/c thread going to write up a sticky on how to do it w/ a price list?

I've been reading about this bracket that is needed to mount the S/C. Would this work? It says it's universal. What is needed to make this work? Where would this mount?

bring the thread up and I'll try my best to decipher everything for you. I've never worked on a 3.4 besides changing the oil and transmission fluid, but I'm pretty sure we can figure some way to start this for you

Lol. It's still an idea. It just seems like an S/C would be so much less of a PITA. I'm just not sure where to start there. I'd only be running 8 lbs of boost max. It's a DD for now anyways. I don't have the time or money to do all the internal work to run massive amounts of boost. All the fabbing of forward swept headers, turbo piping, dealing with clearance issues, figuring out where the hell everything will fit seems too time consuming. Hah. There's plenty of room up in front of the engine!

fabbing the pipes really isn't as hard for the 3.4s as it is for the 3.8s from what i hear

s usually 6 or 9 for most units. but even runn 8psi could be an additionl 95ish HP. so watch out!

Man, with Christmas right around the corner, I can't and won't be able to for a while. How much would these be? Now that I'm thinking about it, wouldn't I still have to get an aftermarket fuel pump and bigger injectors if I supercharged/turboed it? As well as megasquirt? I know there's more to it than slapping a turbo or S/C on it, and I even wrote out a list of things I'd need to do it, but I can't find it for the life of me now. Anyone care to help? I want to keep internal work to a minimum, for now anyways. I also considered investing in a 3.4 engine and working with that, then dropping it in after I was done, but that seems like too much of a PITA and a lot of money unnecessarily spent. Ideas?

Not sure what supercharger I'd be running. Any ideas? I have been looking at a Vortech V-9 F-Trim or a Vortech V-9 G-trim. not sure which. The v-9 series was designed for F-bodies and engine bay size in mind. You can see them here. Any other ones that I might want to look at? And is that a good watch out? lol 95 extra sounds good to me!

These are actually designed better for ls1/lt1 engines. I personally like the paxton supercharger better for our engines. Either wya, you'll have a sweet setup
