No man, like I said just go to a Dealership or a Goodyear shop, and have them scan the Brake Module to figure out what it is.

It could be as simple as you need a new ABS Relay.

I took mine to Goodyear a while back and they couldn't figure out what was causing the Brake light to come on. They did a complete diagnostic they said, and no codes or anything came up.

This is your Brake Control Module.

Notice it's location in the engine bay, drivers side front, near the fuel lines.

                        Re: E-Brake light

Just an update for those interested in the problem. I changed my brakes this past weekend. Rotors and pads. And the light has disappeared. On another note the ebrake does not work. It didn't before and still does not. I'm stumped so ima take it to a shop to let em check it out and see if I can fix it. Along w/ my a/c leak.

And on another note I upgraded my front shocks to KYB AGX and I must say they are tha sh!t. If in doubt about them, don't hesitate. I got em on 5 and it handles like I would never believe.

It can't be scanned with your typical $100 advance auto scanner, you have to have Vehicle Diagnostic Scanner, such as HPtuners, a Snap-On MT2500 with the proper program pack, a Snap on MODIS Scan Tool, or a Snap On SOLUS scan tool.

Most larger shops and dealerships employ technicians who own these tools.

Many people don't realize that there are more than just "Pxxxx" OBD-II Codes.

With these advanced scantools, you can scan the Powertrain Control Module for not only engine and emissions codes, but ABS Codes, Body Control Module Codes, Transaxle Codes...and even look at the vital statistics and freeze frames such as IAT, MAF Input, TP, Engine and Vehicle speed at time of code, Open/Closed Loops, EGR Pintle Positions, etc. the list goes on.

and don't assume you can just go buy one, right now the going price on a MODIS scan tool is $7,295.00

                          :)

                          Hope this helps.

Not Sure, it should though, if they are advertising it as a "full-diagnostic scanner"

Also.... when your brake pads are almost gone, the pistons inside the brake calipers are out farther than when the pads are new. This requires more fluid to be in the lines and not the reservoir..... This will cause the "low brake fluid" condition that wasn't there before, even though you aren't actually losing any fluid. If you were slightly low to begin with, when the pads are completely worn, it will will most likely trigger the light. So really, when the "Brake" light is on, check your ebrake first, and then your fluids..... then a dealership.

Or maybe I'm just rambling to see who will believe me, but it sounded good.

The e-brake doesn't hold on your car because the e-brake sucks on these cars. There's a brake shoe that goes inside the rear disc, just like a brake drum. I still haven't been able to find a parts store that carries them. Dealer only item I suppose. If I remember right, they can be adjusted just like a brake drum too, or by the cable under the car.

I'd check for you, but sold my car a few days ago...... :(
