      gotchocmilk is correct.

BTW how's those true duals workin out for you? Has the sound changed much since you got em built? Power increase?

I thought my 2000 had 3.42 but after checking the codes, turns out I have 3.23. I planned on going 4.10, but after reading this and discovering my 3.23's, I think I'll switch to the 3.73's as well. Sounds like you like 'em, 98. I want a little more SOTP excitement, but I don't want to totally kill the practicality of a daily driven car (imagine, F-Body and practical used in the same sentence).

Yeah...I wouldn't go any higher than 4.10 because of all the highway driving I do, but IMO it's bearable with 3.73s.

So, big difference in acceleration? She git it?

It was a good increase in acceleration. With my old open diff and 3.23s I couldn't hardly chirp my peg leg into 2nd (huge 315s on the rear btw..).

Now half the time I floor it in 1st the tires break loose through the whole gear and I can get a little spin into 2nd. It definitely feels like it's booking. It was a big diff compared to the aluminum DS, like I said earlier.

O man they are great ya the rasp has moved up to 4k now if I'm drving normal. Now if I stomp on it it comes quick but a different rasp than any Y-pipe set up but headers are going on in a 2 weeks so it will deepen up the whole system :D

Cool dude. I'm working on getting a 2.5" H pipe setup with 3" Borla XR-1s dumped before the axle.

That combined with my headers...can't freakin wait!

Oo man that thing is going to be loud but no dout it will sound good. Might lose a little more low end then I did with that big of piping, but your car will retune itself after awhile it will return back to normal or alittle less but your top end will be better. But are you going to get headers or do you have them already? You dont want to make that set up then deside you want headers and have to remake the piping like I'm going to have to do from my cats to the headers because the headers sit different than the manifolds.

Re: 3.73s and Auburn, woot woot!

Right now the car has headers, 3" Cat and S pipe, 2.5" flowmaster catback minus the muffler. I expect it to be quieter with the new setup. But I really want to get my powerband up in the rpm range. Right now it's a bit low for my liking.

As for tuning, I plan on having hptuners in a few weeks here. Already need it for the gear, and I have a GT2 cam and other goodies sitting under my bed. :D

well the thing is all that sound is still in the rear of the car but with your new system it will be midlength under the car which is why I think it willl sound louder. Now with the H-pipe and those borla'a plus you have your headers already, it will sound 10x better than what you have. Just remember let your pipes/muffers burn before judging it (say a month). I was going to go with the gt2 aswell or the gt3 but I dont want to stroke it if I go the gt3 rout. But good luck with your exhuast post up a thread when your done like to see how it sounds and how the 2.5 in pipe fits.

Well my current setup actually terminates right over the axle... but who cares. I can speculate all I want on the sound, in a couple weeks I'll know for sure. :) I'll post up a thread when I get it in for sure.

Are you just swapping rears? Or are you installing gears? If you just swap rears, it's pretty easy. Make sure you unbolt the brake line from next to the pumkin before you lower the rear all the way. Otherwise you will stretch and possibly break it. Expect your swaybar endlinks to give you some trouble. Mine didn't come out until I pulled out the hacksaw. ;) Good luck!

I have a new rear with new gears in it. I do need to swap out one of my axle shafts, and build up the disc brakes (the new axle didn't come with brakes). I've been lubing my nuts all week, so I'm hoping nothing gives me trouble.
