Heres the Problem, I installed an LS1 Al driveshaft a few weeks ago and now it is hitting the transmission tunnel.
I located the problem area -- the flange at the transmission end of the shaft is hitting the tunnel at lower RPMs in 1st and second gear.
I believe that it could be caused by the excessive vibration of a worn out tranny mount, but it is probably more than that. A new 1LE mount and poly torque arm bushing are going in this weekend.
Any ideas on how to fix it if the tranny mount doesn't which I suspect it won't. I'd rather not grind the flange down because I could throw off the balance. I could grind down the transmission tunnel where it is hitting but I'd rather not put a hole in my floor.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated
