Exactly, dead hooking and brutal 60 foots will cause the need for a 12 bolt rear.
I've gone through 1 axle w/ 4 10's n/a and then later on 342's and bottle fed.
I am going through another one now.
With my weeney 323 gears, nitrous, converter and et streets I dead hook and pull a 1.630 60 foot.
This was done on an ailing tranny and hot weather.
Imagine if I had 342's or 373's or higher!!
Hell, I might even dip into the 1.5's with my 323's.
That would explain why I need a 12 bolt.
I will never hit 400 hp for another 6 months, its torque and traction that snap rears
