Shirl, I think I remember reading that you didn't like your other converter because it felt loose to you. I have an edge 2800 2.33str 97eff. No perceived looseness at all. Of course you're blown, so you might perceive more looseness than me. Maybe a 2600? I don't see why a 2600 won't do. I see quite a bit of spin launching from 2500, not flashing from idle.
I don't care what anyone says about getting something below 3000 rpm. My N/A car WOT shifts are falling to 4300-plus. That's above peak torque.
You want something effective, not just big-stall.
