I was under the car the other day putting in a fuel filter and I noticed a couple things. 1, my torque arm bolts on the axle were finger loose. So I tightened those down. And 2, there's oil everywhere on the car around the pinion yoke. I was reading a thread about doing the pinion seal a few minutes ago and I have a few questions.

Do I need a new pinion nut after I remove mine? And what's up with the grease pencil, and rtv? Can't I just pull the yoke off, replace the seal, put the yoke back on, and torque the nut down to spec?

Anyone know the size of the nut? The only sockets I have that will fit are 3/4" drive and I only have a 1/2" tq wrench. At the parts store now but they don't have an adaptor so ill have to buy the socket that fits.

I got the nut, it was smaller than I thought. Looks like I'm just gonna wait till I can afford to do my gears/posi, I don't want to tighten the nut too much and over crush the crush sleeve.
