    Found a set for example.

How many splines for our axles though? I can't remember...28?

My bad I didn't realize he was refering to pinion spline as well, yes you are correct. :p

Thanks you guys. I probably wouldn't have comprehended any of this with my thick skull.

And is it safe to say that 3.73 is the consensus for gearing around here? I don't plan on going turbo so I'm safe as far as that goes. I think the powerdyne would probably like the 3.73's. :naughty:

Thanks for the input. I've got the HPTuners so I figure I'll be able to handle any changes that need to be made, I sure do love that program. LOL.

BTW, do you have an aftermarket converter? Whats the stall if ya do?

No aftermarket stall, I need to see how my 3.73's are going to respond with my turbo.

I was thinking about this today and I was like.. oh.. duh.. I love making myself feel like an *** via internet forumz. It's the whole reason why I didn't buy higher gears for more load on the engine for my turbo.

Personally, I think 3.55 would be the best for a daily driver, but after weeks of looking at gears, I found only one manufacturer that made 3.55 for the 7.5/7.6 rear. I am still kicking myself for not saving the link to the website. Have not been able to find it since. But they were not cheap, about twice the price of regular quality gears.

So far, I'm really liking the 3.73 and the small drop in MPG is not much to pay for the real "sports car" spirited feel the gears give. Just don't think the car will feel like a V8 and you will be happy.
