Re: Installing heads and cam soon

I have been looking into getting some ls1 injectors. I know the 99-00 will work i just need to know if the 2001 will work. I know the 01s are 28# and the 99-00 are 26#. Is $35 shipped for 8 2001 injectors with 50k miles a good deal?

Also does anyone know what the length of the stock injectors are, for a 99 3.8l.
The 2001 injectors are 2 3/4 inches is that too long?

Got ls1 injectors from an 01 so those should work. Now does anyone know what kind of pully puller i need (pics or partnumber for one would be great).

Re: Installing heads and cam soon

With the AR stage 3 heads and N/A cam, with this set up would it be fine with the stock rockers or would getting some after market rockers with a higher lift be beneficial?
Seems like someone asked this before and there was not much to gain from new roller rockers unless you were all stock, is that true?

Re: Installing heads and cam soon

I wouldn't bother with rockers. There are two reasons why people get them.

          1. They are lighter/stronger. Well I've never heard of anyone breaking a rocker...so I wouldn't even worry about that.

          2. More lift. Different ratio rockers are the easy way to get more valve lift. However, a cam already will do this for you. So just get a cam with the lift you want.

Rockers = waste of money IMO.

I don't know about the lt1 injectors, but I did get the 2001 ls1 injectors 28#. On my 1999 camaro it uses the bosch style connection as well as the 99-01 ls1 apparently.
So, vincente are you refering to the 2000+ v6 camaro, because those are different and use the multech II connection.
Thanks for the explanation, 98 3.8, I won't get rockers then.

Re: Installing heads and cam soon

Ok so the install will be this weekend. Only thing is my tuned pcm has not made it to my house yet. Will it be ok to try and start the engine on the stock PCM? Also could someone clarify the comp OE lifter install procedure. Thanks.
