  • car wont move!!

alright, well the engine building is done....now time for the drive, right? WRONG. My car will not move and here and the symptoms:

    1) "brake" and "abs inop" lights both lit on the cluster
    2) when i put the car into a gear, (reverse, drive, etc) the rpms dont dip..and the car goes nowhere.
3)I removed the coolant line from the tranny to the radiator and got no fluid.

the transmission is brand new...could I have already broken the pump?
any suggestions about the cluster lights?

    thanks

i should also mention there are only EGR codes, nothing related to the tranny.

do the wheels ( any of them ) move at all? jack up the car a few times and see. the e-brake can freeze on, ive heard of that happening and considering how cold your car was for so long.

Are you sure the converter was completely in the transmission?

                      ouchy if not :( :(

should go in 3 "clicks" and you should not be able to get your finger behind the TC when its in.... and putting a ruller across the bell housing the place on the TC that bolts to the fly wheel should be about 1 inch back

also if it won't go in make sure the tranny is in park

DO NOT REV THE CAR AT ALL

if the TC is not in right it will shear off the front pump = fubared tranny

hopfully you havn't done and damage yet

after talking with performabuilt, seems as if my pump is dead. i am going to drop the trans from the bottom to put in a new pump.

yes, we put fluid in the converter before before installing it on the trans
