You may know I've been chasing down this stupid miss for some time. I had to drive to mid-missouri from Indiana this weekend and the vibration in OD nearly made me sick. Result: drove all the way there in drive. THAT'll kill your mileage.

I've done everything I can think of including:
Plugs, Wires, Coils, Coil riser test, continuity check on ALL related connectors and wires, Crankshaft sensor test, camshaft sensor test, fuel injector cleaner, compression check, and resetting the computer.

I'm taking it in to get the codes pulled. I'm not going to spend $200+ on a freakin scanner for a GM since this is THE LAST ONE I'LL EVER BUY. (going back to 'stangs)

Wish me luck! (on the code pulling, I know how you guys feel about mustangs, and it's okay, I used to feel the same about Fbods)

You sure its a misfire and not an imbalance of some sort, like your drive shaft?

    Does your SES light blink?

You have cleaned fuel injectors but that doesn't mean they are bad.

You need to find a friend with autotap, watch your o2's... and pull up each cyl's current misfire report.. that's all you have to do.

good point magnus.... if only in OD, check for torque converter chuggle or shutter causing vibration.

also remember that simply checking resistance of coils is not adequate to eliminate that as a possible cause of ign misfire. they can ohm out fine off the car but when they're in a dynamic condition, particularly when they are hot and the engine is under a load, you may still see problems.

I would look at tranny mount. If it's cracked (will be hard to see) you'll get that vibration

Oops, Sorry, I meant to say that it always vibrates (because of a miss) and It's worse in OD because the RPM's are just right at 70 mph. (It vibrates at the same RPM's in every gear)

I'm sure it's a miss, the thing has NO power, and it's eating gas like a V8.

What's a misfire report? is that something the computer records? I'll be taking it Friday to get codes pulled, and hopefuly that will steer me in the right direction.

Thanks for the help anyway guys. Any of you in the Terre Haute, Indiana area?
