should i get my cam from ssm or comp cams? im getting the powerpack this week, well im paying for it this week. but would i get the same hrsp from ssm cam as i would comp cams cam? i was told by a few people that its impossible 2 grind my cam that came outta my car and its shot and cant be reground. is this true? so which will give me better power? thanks for the info

i would go with the comp cam for a a4. the specs on the ssm cam are a bit to radical for a a4 vehicle. the comp cam is designed with the a4 vehicle in mind. good luck john

From Keith's research I think the comp cams ramp rates are better over a regrind. BUT if you go with the regrind you can get whatever specs you want instead of having to choose from a list of lobes. Hydrolic cams have very little wear and your current cam will be fine to regrind. After my dyno results yesterday I am very pleased with the SSM regrind specs. [img]smile.gif[/img]

HOLY CRAP [img]graemlins/omg.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/omg.gif[/img] you gained 260 ft lbs with a 100 shot? thats incredible well now about that cam. i talked 2 tom for a good while he is a very cool guy and i will get everything from him, im getting superchips 2 program my pcm so the radicalness wont kill me [img]smile.gif[/img] sorry to do this to you michael but what are the specs again and why did you choose those specs over lets say royces cam specs? please let me know

woops forgot 2 ask, how many rw hrsp did you have be4 cam? how many did just the cam give you?

Check out my dyno resutls post over in the lounge, there is a list of all the changes I made since the last dyno. My cam is exactly the same specs as Royce's (210/214 - .450 total lift)except the lobe seperation is 113 instead of 112. I did that for the nitrous, worked pretty well eh? lol Unfortunately I made a few other small changes with the cam including a different motor, so I don't know exact gains from just the cam.
