    is the 3.4 internally balanced or externally?
    1985 S-10 w/ 3.4 engine, edelbrock intake manifold w/ 4barrel 500 cfm carb, k&n air cleaner, single glass pack Y\'s into 2-2 foot 3.5\" \"boom tubes\"...very loud

      what he said, if you do a swap you want a 3.4L flywheel with it, not a externally balanced 2.8L flyewheel.

        i did a swap and used the 2.8 flywheel...ya it vibrates WAY BAD! the 3.4 was an automatic, so i figured i'd see if the 2.8 flywheel would work, so now i think i'm gonna call a guy i know and see if he can rebalance the flywheel to a 3.4.
