My buddy's got an '86 and about $3000, I told him I'd help him supe it up.

From what I've found, it looks like he's running a 2.8L V6 (135 hp), and special for that year was an upgraded exhaust and a 3rd brake-light.

Is there much hope for modifying a 2.8L, and if so can you give me some ideas of where to get started.

Thanks...

how many miles on it? to what degree of power?
there a custom super/turbo setups that can be done. Headers are now available :D , nitrous. is it an auto or manual?

there are always the comp cam 2030, 3.4 swap, full roller rockers, or just roller tips rockers, suspension parts aplenty. see the tech database & click on the 3rd gen linki. 91Firebird did a good job on this

Thanks dude, this should give me something to get started. I'll inquire about the miles, and transmission.
