  • ?'s about swapping a 350 in a Berlinetta.

Will a 350 drop right in a Berlinetta with different moter mounts or what needs to be done.

new tranny, new mounts, new tach, new front springs, engine harness, if emissionas isn't a problem, go w/carb set up. easiest to swap in. TV or kickdown cable, depending on tranny. AFPR, exhaust system, headers aplenty though.

Wouldn't you just need to swap the blocks out?

edit: eh, I'm a dummy. I forgot that not all Berlinettas came with a 305. I recently picked an '85 up for a little over a grand. T-tops, carb 305, power (fully working) interior, and a straight body. Not a bad deal. I'd just have to swap out the 305 block and maybe a few other things, right?

As for a v6, or 4 banger, swap, it would be the typical painfull procedure. Motor mounts, new tranny, new driveshaft?, tranny mounts?, etc.
