It will work... just plug it in and let it learn your car. Make a few passes with it and see whats up.

do you think the pcm pulling timing because of knock would hurt your ET that much?

i would exercise a little patience (hard to do when you're frustrated, though) and get a few more runs in there under different conditions. maybe your 15.2 was a ringer day...

Dude the 15.2 was with an open diff and I backed it up the 5 runs of 15.2-15.3 the following day not to mention 2 more runs of 15.2 that night. Seeing as I have an LSD and a better tranny, I should be running much better times than 15.3 at this point, and Yes KR can affect your times dramatically

I did the same thing Timbo. Ran a 15.4 with 3.08s and an open rear, then I go out to the track the first time expecting to run a 14.9-15.0 and I didnt get it. Rather annoying, I know.

After a few more times going out I eventually hit a 14.7. Like RallyRed said.. be patient.

I am sure the car FEELS faster with all that, just doesnt have a slip yet... thats all.

I know it just bugs me to no end....I know it's got a mid 14 in it. I'll just run the damn thing to death until I get it.. A cam will go in this winter... Oh by the way my 60 seems to be going down about .1 everytime out since the verter.

it took a few trips to the track before my PI3500 loosened up. believe me was i pissed for like 3 straight trips to the track. then things started improving

Thanks dude... I guess I was expecting to much since I bought the verter used, but it hadn't been used in a while probably close to a year. So I'll just keep plugging away at the track and sooner or later I'll git er done!!.. ;) Thanks for the encouragement guys. I know my best times are probably going to be in the fall.

and yeah my car did knock on 87 running WOT at the track...the converter doesnt knock its the engine in high RPMS

ran some 93 and had none. so beat on the converter for awhile and then run some 93 octane gas next time you go to the track

and get some tires. kumho suck. you need drag radials to get the most out of

it took many passes to get an acceptable time from my converter

These tires really grip. I went for the All season w rated radials. How they do in few months is yet to be determined, but so far they are way better than the stock GA's

New update.. I started throwing codes today.. SES light was bright.. Codes P1870 and P0138.. Transmission most likely the new verter and O2 sensor but which one I'm not entirely sure. It's going back to my shop on Saturday to be evaluated.
