I recently had a racing tranny rebuild a 3300 stall install along with an LSD. I ran 15.2x with an open diffie and stock tranny. Now since the mods I've run a best of 15.335, however my 60ft times have dropped to 2.0x's but my 1/4 mile time seems to be suffering. I was expecting a little mph drop from the LSD but not a ET drop. I was traping 89 and my ET was 15.2x now I'm trapping 87 and am running 15.3x with an LSD, siftkit and high stall. I haven't been able get access to autotap to see if I'm getting KR from the noise of the new verter. A friend suggested that maybe the Torque mgmnt feature is slowing me down. Can anyone help me?,, Oh by the way folks BLLDOGG was at the track and was a pretty cool kid.. he ran 15.40's

2.0 60's are beautiful, glad to see the car is at least running and nothing new has broken.

i'm probably beating a dead horse by saying the 3.8 falls flat on its face in the high end, but other people cutting 2.0s are running high 14s.

were you running open TB? full intake minus filter? hot lapping? was it humid? what i'm thinking is that you suffered from an accumulation of factors perhaps including noise from your new verter...

I only got 4 runs in because I got there late. I usually run better hot lapping. The ambient temp outside was 68 degrees. I was running Whisperlid and K&N filter. I didn't try open TB as I like to run just like I would on the street. I think all of the weight reduction to run good times is B.S. if I can't do it in street trim the times don't mean anything to me.

How different was the weather on the 15.2 run and the 15.35 run? I'd think you should see sub 2.0 60's. Any spinning?

Both were about 58 to 64 degrees outside. No spinning at all. A friend of mine suggested Torque Management was kicking my butt, and I think it's either that or KR from the verter... I'm going to install some Potentiometers inline between the Knock sensors and the PCM and turn them up about 1/4 to 1/2 of the way, to see if that helps any.

Maybe because you have a PISS 3300 tq converter?

I don't think we have torque management... thought it was only an LS1 thing.

You think you're getting knock? Couldnt imagine an internally stock motor knocking with out a power adder.

What was your wheel tire setup?

Stock 16in Chrome wheels like yours with Kumho ASX 245 50 R16's. 3.42 gears Eaton LSD and a 3300 stall converter. I think the prior owner had knock problems with this verter as well.
