Re: 1/4 mile Estimate for my car?

Glaring lightweight mods have to wait. I'm looking to grudge race the car, that's the primary reason I built it. I'm trying to keep it stock appearing, so no Bogarts, 4 inch cowl hood, 28 inch slicks, stuff like that. I'll eventually go with a bunch of lightweight stuff at the end of the year and take a shot at the LS1tech top 50 stock internal list.

Fixed a few things today. Fuel system is done. Swapped the new 255lph pump into the V8 bucket w/ regulator. Also, picked up a set of used 39lb/hr injectors and tossed those in as well. Picked up a brake bleeder setup, and I don't care if I have to completely purge the system. I hate having mooshy brakes! Sealed the unfinished edge on the throat of my lid, need to finish sealing the perimeter of the lid to the airbox. Also, wtf, connected up the broken wires for the Cam Position Sensor, still no signal on the tach?!?!?! Grrrr.. So close!

I'm going to Great Lakes Dragaway on Thursday to hopefully make some nitrous passes, then grudge racing Friday at Wisconsin International Raceway. Saturday, is NHRA! I SO want to run their 10.90 index, but I don't have ANY of the required safety equipment. Putting a 6pt bar in the car isn't on the agenda for this year. Sunday is bracket racing. Gonna put another 2k miles on the new truck this weekend!

BOP just like to say good luck were all counting on ya.LOL Thats cool though , that beast will go 11's easy N/A and 10's on the juice. Can't wait to see your results. You did what I was going to do before I got into this turbo for my car , thats why I have HPtuners for a 02' LS1 Camaro. But I will see after I get the turbo up and running if I will keep it or part it out for a LS1. The heat here in the summer is bad for turbo engines, but I will get it on and test it first before I go with a LS1. I'm fixing some minor stuff on the car right now and then I will start putting on the turbo. So depending how well it takes the heat , I might have a cammed LS1 going in, but I will get a Tub. K, headers and a LS6 intake thats about it.

Ok, so I went 13.1's N/A, and 12.50's on the hose. Wait. What? That doesn't sound right at all.... Yup, having a ***** of a time getting the injectors dialed in, and the nitrous is leaking at the solenoid. I'm going to swap solenoids out tonight, reseal everything, order up a wideband, and continue taking some weight out.

Thanks, I can finally sleep better at night, LOL I should send you my 275/40/17's on 17X9 SS rims , since I have never used them , also my front prostars from Pathogen I bought. Send me a bin. file , I can tune injectors in pretty easy and still have you fuel tims -4 0 +4 dialed in. I had some dynotune 250 HP solenoids I wish I would of kept along with about $700-$1000 of nitrous parts that I was suppose to get some help with labor on my car from another member , but that turned out to be bad since he won't return my PM's anymore , I'll do alittle take your parts and now won't answer my PM's, I would have my turbo on right now with a double roller and the oil PSI kit, if he would of kept his word. Oh well , I have been doing little by little before I take it down to one of the mechanics(I want my methanol kit up and running so I have some backup in this 110 temps right now). Serously send me your bin at ss6532@aol.com I tuned my 65lb injectors in like 10 mins. from the 36LB injectors.

I'll send you a copy of my file tonight. I'm a complete n00b at tuning. You should really see the logs first. I already tried the excel spreadsheet for injectors, and that was way fat. Also tried the HP Tuners auto add method, and that's fat too on my factory narrowband O2's. I am ordering a wideband as soon as I determine that the best deal is.

Re: 1/4 mile Estimate for my car?

Yes, you really need a wideband to really tune in the injectors , once you get one it will take you about 2-3 times driving at the most to get them dialed in with Hptuners. I'll take a look at your tune. I had a PLX dealer try to get me to use their new stuff but their discount was only half off and I told him my PLX is still working fine so why would I want to pay more money for another wideband, unless he wants to give it to me for free. So you could say I'm still running my same one.LOL

Will do , will PM you here if to let you know, did you get that PLX wideband for $165? , thats a great deal. The replacemnet Bosch style wideband O2's only cost like $55 shipped, better price than the NGK's.

Aaaaaannnnnnd I haven't touched the car in weeks. Going a new direction. **** these ****ing ****ty injectors, right up their stupid asses. Stockers are going back in, switching from the Nitro Dave's halo spray bar to an NOS throttlebody plate, **** you fuel system. Trying to get a different converter, either Yank SS4000, or a custom FTI.

Tonight I'll be out in the garage, picked up drill bits at Lowes this afternoon to start drilling out spot welds. Gotta start carving this turkey!

Please, for the love of God, if anyone comes across some used QA1's, I need them bad.

Ok, been drilling like a mad man. All the carpet is out. Seats are out. Hood is gone. Still have MUCH more to do. Need to get the rear crash bumper out.
