  • 1/4 mile Estimate for my car?

99 V6 Camaro. Threw the wheezing v6 in the garbage, and put the engine touched by the hand of God in it. I'm going to spray the mothersucking rods out of it. Please, oh please tell me!!!!!

I'm still trying to get the videos up. Photobucket was being a sissy girl last night.

DId you mod the LS1 any or is it stock? What mods , rear? What do you think your car weighs? Thats a very good time for a Stock LS1? Guys here with 4.10's get low 12's with some mods, but the DA is about 1200 to 3600 depending on the night. Nice job

Re: 1/4 mile Estimate for my car?

                LS1 has:

                LS6 Intake
                OBX Headers (eBay junk)
3400 Yank Converter (too small, not enough shift extention)
                Chrs1313 Ram Air
                Fast Toys 85mm Lid
                Speed Inc knock off K&N
Pavlock Performance Aluminum adjustable Control Arms
                3.42 gear
255/50/16 Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials

I've taken about 300#'s out. No A/C, no HVAC, no front bumper support, no fog lights, no airbags, no rear seat belts, no radio, no speakers, and a couple other things.

Sounds like a pretty good list. Really not that much done to it. Still need to get it tuned.

I know it's kind of a side bar but... How do you like those MTs?

I've loved them for years. I've run them on all my cars since they came out. I used to run the bias ply ET Streets, but had plenty of issues with them (car would wander at the end of the track, they sucked on the street, would always go flat). I wouldn't run either on a 13-14-15 second V6. I'd just run a Nitto on that.

Thats still pretty outstanding time, I have Hptuners for the 02' LS1 if you could use a 02' PCM. Or I have Hptuners for 00' 5.3/6.0 GMC/chevy truck hptuners but I don't know if the PCMs are swapable for the Camaros, I thought a certain year was, but I could be wrong. I bet you would be in the 11's for sure with tunning. Throw some 4.10's and a UMI tunnel mount TQ arm on there and traction will improve 10 fold. LOL Too bad you don't live closer you coul use my front Prostars and my 275/40/17 M.T. Drag radials, which still haven't been used. That UMI tunnel mount is night and day difference for hooking for straight line.

Thanks for the offer. I already have HPT Pro. Talk about a waste of $650. Really regretting not buying EFI Live. I will probably go bigger on the gear, but I don't want to go too big. I need it to be compatible with my 26 inch tall M/T's. A torque arm is a possibility. I'm not looking to set records with the car, just have a fun grudge racer. It's been a low buck project from the start. My goal is to keep it semi-stock appearing, that's why I haven't put a hood or SS spoiler on it yet ;)

Oh, I still have a couple tricks up my sleeve as well. More weight will come out, new lightweight carpet, those sorts of things. I'm really itching to spray it! However, on my HPT logs, I'm at 93% duty cycle already! I'm hoping a new 255lph pump will help that some. If not, I'll order up some 42lb injectors and let her eat!

If you want to lighten it up a Tub. K and A arms will do it some justice along with a light weight hood. I would bypass 42's and go 60's their about the same price and leaves alot of growing room, good to see you have HPtuners for it. You'll be in the 11's really soon it sounds like.
