Yeah...wasn't much fun at work. Luckily all we were doing was testing the data loc's we just put in for Northwestern's floor in the Clark/Adams building downtown. I think if I had to actually do anything menial that day, I would have left.

I had vertigo a few times when I was younger - it's suppose to be something that may or may not stick around. I haven't had hit in probably 5 years. Mine wasn't to severe...some people are bed ridden for weeks with it, I was just down for a day.

              Re: Anyone ever have vertigo?

I have it.... but it is bad.

A couple years ago it hit me so bad I was bed ridden for 1 week.

I went for EKG's, blood tests, cardiologist, brain scans, reg doctor, neurologist ENT doc and NOTHING.

              Everything came back normal.

              The dizzyness went away.

I had random dizzy spells here and there. I would have to sit down etc.... could last a couple days.

When I went away on my honey moon I had a 24 hr spell when we landed there and 24 hr spell when we got back.

Earlier this year I was supposed to be a groomsman in my buddies wedding. The day before I blacked out and collapsed several times.... eventually could not stand or even sit up.... and went to hospital via ambulance. I made a post about it a while ago.

I then explored more profesient ENT's.

I've noticed I have some hearning loss....but only in crowded rooms. This was the key statement my ENT needed to hear - he refered me to another doc who was very familiar with inner ear

They did extensive testing and found I have some type of damage to my inner ear.

They prescribed Lipoflavinoid. It's just like a vitamin....I have been taking this since then and have been pretty damn good.

Check out an ENT.... a REALLY good one!
ENT = ear nose and throat doc

I suffer from this really bad... I do NOT wish it on anyone.... it is horrible. My case is kinda bad because I would just drop :(

Best of luck - check out ent

                Re: Anyone ever have vertigo?

James, I can't say its THAT bad, but it gets to the point that I have to watch my mobility. I don't want to be in the position of doing something that requires some balance (like walking or standing). Its is somewhat uncomfortable, but not painful. I was told by the ER doctor to get ahold of a ENT specialist, which I might do when I get some more money/free time.

                    Re: Anyone ever have vertigo?

hmm.. i get it every now and then (i knew what it was, didnt care..).. like sometimes ill get it for a few seconds after playing a video game for a long time, or after hours of just sitting down diong nothing like watching tv or some ****.

its your equilibrium. like if you have an ear infection or something, and you successfully pop your ears, you will feel sick as hell, the room w/ spin etc..
