While the wife and I love our camaros...


Our elky is a better ride, more versatile, and just one of those cars not every one has!


Now I have make up my mind. While the 09 camaro has some damn sexy looks, I love how the front end on the concept Elky reminds me of the 69 Chevelle/Elky's. Another plus is the new Elky would be cheaper insurance then the camaro. Also since they would be build on the same platform the cars will most likely share the same engine options. Your thoughts?

go with the camaro... I've seen 8 different models of a new el camino for the last 10 years. GM wants to make one but its gonna be a long time before they do.

never underestimate the buying power of a redneck. (citibank's mouth is just watering over the requests to have thier credit card limits bumped, just like whenthe talking bass came out, and also w/the release of the banjo lure :p )

That looks suspiciously like an early Camaro concept drawing with a bed tacked on. Not a bad idea, I kind of like El Caminos.

Chevrolet-Mexico currently makes a el camino-style-vehicle...it's called the Tornado or something similar

GM could have a new El Camino in literally 3 weeks if they really wanted it:





The fact that GM never bothered to convert the Holden Ute when they brought the Monaro over as a GTO speaks volumes about the future of a new El Camino. :(

exactly, plus now that the u.s. expects better gas mileage, and all of gms rwd cars are being put on the back burner except the camaro and vettes, i doubt we'll see a new el camino any time soon.
