if you do alot of video editing...I'd say mac all the way....then you wouldn't have to **** with adobe anymore just go straight to final cut pro...I'd run a mac if my busines software would run on it...but of course it doesn't...as far as processors, just about all programs will take advantage of a dual core processors, the OS will tell them too...it's the 64bit that some programs won't take advantage of...if you really like winblows stick with it...oh and as a general rule amd=cheaper...it's all I use..they run hotter bla bla bla...who cares....if you really wanna get into it google amd vs. intel...you'll find different benchmarks and such...intel is better than amd in certain things and vice versa....but my personal opinion is to learn a mac now...and stick with it...you'll be much happier.
