Let's try something new.... who's helpful?
OK.. so I was thinking while cleaning and doing laundry (us mortals have to do that kinda stuff) of this thread more and more LINKY.
How about we do a little voting...
Once a month we will vote from 4 people you guys nominate as "helpful" to the community. That winner will get a Supporting Membership for a year. No, it's not much, but it is us (robert and my) gratitude for being part of the community.
What is MY definition of "helpful"? Anyone that can do just that. Reply with a useful link. Answered a question without being a PITA about it. Maybe it took off into a friendship. Maybe someone you found is local to you that has taught you more in a weekend wrenching than a semester of Vocational classes.
How this is going to work is to reply to this post with who you nominate and why. If you feel it's too personal or you feel strange about being the poster for nominations, email me directly. I'll post if for you annonymously. No whining, no *****ing, no slamming, no other posts will be seen. I will NOT debate in this thread. We'll leave that up to the votes.
Who this can be. This does NOT have to be an admin, or moderator or your buddy. This can be anyone that you've seen posting, helped or helped you. If the winning person has a Supporting Membership, we'll find something else special for that person.
If this goes well.. who knows, maybe I'll pony up for better things besides signatures and PM's... But lets see how it works first. And guys... let's keep this real.
