My mom was diagnost with lukiemia(sp) and was told she had 6 months to live, that was 30 years ago and she is still kickin strong today! After about 5 years of remission with no relap's, she was told she wasn't able to have anymore kids, well 5.5 years after that I was born and 2 years and 3 months later my sister was born.
