• think my whoring is bad?

You guys(98goldbird) think my whoring is bad now.... ;)

    I am only begining!

I know a few people know but I don't think I have told everyone on this board but...

Late april found out I have cancer, yep the big C word, had surgery on April 29th, cut up a bunch of my abdomen muscles, had to stay home form work... Stuff was looking good just gonna have to go through another major surgery, where they cut me from the bottom of my chest to my waist, pull out my intestines and stomach, and remove several lymphnodes. Looking at a 7-10 day stay in the hospital, not being able to be active for like 2 months.

My tumor markers in my blood work which were continually dropping since my surgery and almost back to normal are unfortuneately now jumping back up and I will likely have to switch to chemo, or maybe have to do chemo and the surgery.

Not sure how much chemo I have to do yet, but probably 4-8 weeks of it.

So be prepared for more posting

FYI my mom did chemo for 3 months and this is her last week of 6 weeks of radiation. you will not feel like whoring anything during chemo. now if your talking about radiation that’s a lot easier on you. Sorry to hear of the problems your having.

yeah I was afraid of that as well...

luckily I don;t have to do radiation I heard its easier in some parts but I am only 23, not too keen on hitting myself with radiation yet. heck not really to keen on getting chemo.

Most cancer patient are older and when exposed to chemo/radiation its not too bad because they may only live 20-40 years longer... I am looking at 60 or so years of it, so not a fan of finding out long term effects.

                  </font>
actually I was refering to the short trem. a lot of people do not handle the after effects of chemo well. potental hair loss, puking right after treatments, ect. where radiation is just like a poweral X ran in a way. little to no after effects right after treatment. I think the only thing my mom suffered from radiation was she started showing radiation burns this week. but since this is her last week its all good I guess.

Sorry to hear that, man. My girlfriend's sister has cancer in her brain and lungs. She was doing chemo and caught pneumonia. They didn't catch it in time and she went into shock. She spent a couple of weeks unconscious in Intensive Care, but she's better now.

                          Eric,
That's terrible! :( My prayers are with you bud. Cancer is something no 23-year-old should have to deal with. Heck, its something none of God's children should have to deal with but you know what I mean.

I feel your pain regarding the lack of ability to live life; its amazing how quickly you realize the little things in life you took for granted when you're suddenly deprived of them. I had a nasty accident playing basketball two weeks ago and ended up fracturing my kneecap and severely tearing my meniscus, the insulating tissue between the shin and thigh bones. I've been screaming in pain/on crutches/completely immobilized ever since. (Percocet 10 mg, 6 times daily is my friend). The internal bleeding (think it was called a hematoma?) was so bad my leg was dark purple/black all the way from my waist to my toes. Now I'm sitting on my @ss every day, unable to drive, *barely* able to limp at 0.01 mph, telecommuting to work with no one giving me any friggin sympathy and/or realizing how crippled I am, and just waiting for the reconstructive surgery that's tentatively scheduled 2 weeks from now when the swelling goes down.

When is your surgery? The waiting is the worst part. I wouldn't mind if I could just get the **** over with, but knowing what's going to happen and just putting life on hold and waiting sucks.

Yet the doctors sit there casually and say "get rest, don't go to work for a month, don't stress anything, lie down with your injury elevated all day, blah blah blah". Yeah doc, tell that to my boss.

At least with the big "C" word you get sympathy at your job, right? Keep your chin up--could be worse. Your boss could be expecting you to work every day even if you can't move and are stoned out of your mind on painkillers 24/7.

Seriously though, good luck, buddy. God bless. You'll be alright and racing again in no time. And recover quick--that way you can for once say you're faster than me. ;) Cheers,

wow even got stefan to come out of the woodwork...

yeah it sucks... you guys wanna know the worse part?

                              Health insurance...

I just got off my parents, and got some crappy insurance through my work.

If I had done something like stefan(which sounds like it hurts alot) for the most part it woudl have been covered.

But with this cancer crap, I already racked up ~$8,000 in bills alone, if I go through chemo its not unheard of me racking up $30-35,000.

So if you guys are young make sure you get better insurance, I am young and not making too much money, so I skimped slightly on my insurance and is possibly the biggest mistake of my life.

sucks to think I can have $38-45,000 in bills. I am working to see if I can get a little help form my government, and doing some research my work seems ot offer one time grants of cash to employees in times of extreme finacial distress, its very little known but maybe I will be a canidate. I have a crappy job, but it is still a multi million posssibly billion dollar business. Another problem with my work I don't get paid time off, I haven't gotten a paycheck since May 3rd, I ahve been killing my savings and checking accounts, it blows.

some of the local v6ers might have noticed I briefly talked about selling my car to go to bills. Not sure I will do that anymore, car is still in my dad's name though I paid for it so doesn't show up as an asset for me.

I appreciate all the good words... I was supposed to be taking it easy but I was getting cabin fevor. And hit the dragstrip twice, and an autocross... hoping to hit up an autocross on sunday as well.

but ohh well maybe during the chemo I will lose some weight, and I am already expecting a new best once the weather improves.

This did sort of change some of my perspective on things, I am more focused on what I need to do in my life to get things going right for me. And I am much more health concious.
