and if we rode horses and some rowdy sports car of a stallion bucked and threw a rider, horses would be the devil too.

This is an excerpt from a Washington Post article about three accidents over the weekend that killed 5 teens and injured several others. Please note the age of the driver and the car he was driving.

"In the Burtonsville crash, police are awaiting the results of toxicology tests conducted because, they say, there was a strong odor of alcohol in the 2004 Plymouth GTO destroyed there. Its driver, Robert Middaugh of Laurel, was less than a week shy of his 18th birthday. He had been driving east when he lost control of the car just before the light at McKnew Road. The skid marks curved right, then left, then right, then vanished.

The car slammed into alight pole, grounded in a three-foot-wide concrete base, so hard that the base visibly shifted. The overhead intersection light whipsawed, with part of it shattering on the ground."

Please be careful with fast cars.
I drive a Trans Am(dont start flaming) and even though the car is extremely fast it is by no means uncontrollable. But, notice in the article when it said "there was a strong odor of alcohol" there is the main point right there. Drinking and driving, I do not do that but even though the car might of had alittle to do with the accident, they could have the same accident in a Honda Civic. Its drinking thats the problem, not young kids and fast cars.

Well since the dumba$$ is not considered old enough to be responsible for himself by goverment standards(not trying to open another debate), then the blame shifts to the person that bought/sold/gave the UNDERAGE kid the alcohol. And for the person that let him drive.

Don't blame the accident on the car. It only goes when the air flap pedal is pushed. We should stop blaming a machine for human stupidity when the machine is doing exactly as it was designed to do.

There's a lot of cars out there with half the cylinders of a v8 that can kill it's driver too.

Slow cars can kill ppl too, yes...

But an LS1 will kill them in about 13 seconds as opposed to 30 seconds (based off the time to get to 100 mph)

No one deserves to die, but it's his own damn fault. You do lose when you drink and drive.
