But all the big car nuts Ive ever been around say its the best stuff for keepin the engine clean and such.

Edit-Also theirs a shell station close to me that has premium for 1.97...can't beat that when everywhere else is almost 10 cents higher.
I've heard the same thing from a bunch of mechanics.. speacially ones that have been in business 20+ years

Drove by a Texaco yesterday and they had V-Power listed on their sign. Maybe they had it for a while, but I wouldn't know, I've never had to fill up with premium until now.

And speeking of gas prices today I drove by 2 stations and they must have been having a price war with each other. It was like $1.60 a gallon

Well, the national average dropped like a rock last week, but took forever for us to see it at the pump. But now that Iraq isn't pumping crude, it's going to spike again. I got my premium for $2.02 yesterday and filled up my boat/car... :D

When I gassed up at the Shell this morning on Route 7 in Lenox, they had V-Power Premium too. I just filled up with $2.01 regular and moseyed on. Too bad I didn't have enough to make it to Springfield before I had to gas up, because in East Longmeadow gas was around $1.94. =/ Seen it in Chicopee for $1.80 too...
