it's not wrong. it doesn't matter if you drive a 6 or an 8, if you drive an f-body, your connected with EVERY f-body owner.

I have organized events before and the turn out tells me if it was the right or wrong thing to do.

I have learned that enthusiasm usually breeds enthusiasm.

Well, I guess they should express their dissatisfaction with me also.

I'm a moderator over at www.ls1.com for the v6 section.

Some people are silly in life...... just ignore them.

jen you know my home base is EFA. I've been hanging with then for almost a year and a half now. I still catch heat for being the only v6 at every single event... but they like it.

I agree with stefan that it does come down to the enthusiast POV. But, the v6'ers talk about how they get smack from v8 owners all the time.... yet they are getting on your case for hanging out with v8 guys?? That to me seems a little they are segregating themselves. Chin up girlie.... friends are friends. ;)

Sounds like they have an attitude problem. Why are you smiling about it?

sell v6, buy v8... I consider v6 a stepping stone, not a stumbling block.

but usually I just don't really care about ppl trash talking. I know time will come and I'll be cruising in 10-11 second car, but for now, v6 is more than enough. Gets me to school and work, reliable and quick and very fun to drive and girls like it too... so I'm satisfied for now.

I hope people don't consider me a ricer.
I still chat with many of the people on this site on the side. Not all V8 owners are pricks, just like not all ricers are pricks. Just gotta find the right people.

Owning a V6 taught me many good things, driving be the number one thing. It also taught me very good money management skills as to how to finance my first car while putting small amounts into it. I was damn proud when I paid the last payment on it. I still owe a good $10K on the Hawk; it should be less but that gahdamn mod bug bit.

I hate to point fingers, but I really feel a bunch of idiots run around on LS1.com. I am a member there, but I haven't been there since LS1tech came about. LS1tech is stricly knowledge based, created for the enthusiast.

Not me, I consider the V6 a potential V8 killer, if you have the desire. As for the V8 guys, it all depends on their attitude. I never took any **** from any V8 driver. If they are cool, and don't start **** about me owning a V6, then I am fine. But as soon as they start with the crap, I either leave, or do what I am doing now, I plot a way to get even. My plot is three years in the making, and hopefully, will begin with the heart of a Pathogen (whenever the crap truck gets fixed.)

Some are good guys, others are little pricks who use their big bad cars to make up for something (can we say license plates like "12SECSS"?). There are many V8 owners out there that are no better than Civic owners with Type R badges--why would you want to associate with them? They street race more than fans of the Fast and the Furious.

Don't say "an F-Body is an F-Body", that's bull. Say "a good-natured racing enthusiast is a racing enthusiast". Many V8 owners are far from enthusiasts. They're loser ricers who happen to own an F-body instead of an Integra.
Ok I might agree with this a little. I mean don't hang out with a$$holes. I assumed they were "cool" v8 guys that were car enthusiusts, not the typical, I am a loser and I bought and f-body because its the only way I could get people to talk to me.

I do agree there are v8 owners that are just as bad as ricers, but there are tons of cool f-body owners out there still. Hell I remember one meet I think it was like 15 f-body guys and we spent the night talking about and messing with my girlfriend's cavalier with a hawaiin lay hanging form the rearview, just because it was a car, and a few of them went to a tech school and they worked primarily on Cavaliers.

We still had a blast, jsut bsing about it. But then again this group isn't full of a$$holes.

Example of an A$$hole, I was at an autocorss guy shows up in a NBM trans am with lingenfelter stickers all over it and it sounded mean, I go look at it thing was a beast, this Vin diesel looking guy sees me looking at it walks up and says "I bet you wish this was your car..." and wlaked away. I was like WTF? Then later we ask if he is going to compete, and of course he gave like 20 excuses why he couldn't run. few months later I see is car at the track, no numbers just parked in the spectator area.

April and I hang out with the local RPM group (Richmond Performance Musclecars) and all of them are V8 F-Bodys or Stangs. We are the only V6 there besides a nitrosed v6 (jenn you know a saxaphone player?) ;)
They dont give us a hard time about us having a V6. Yeah we might be the slowest ones there, but damn if out car looks the cleanest. We all race and are sport car enthusiasts.
