Ever notice how the excuse is always "I'm only 16". or "I'm only 17".

If you're old enough to drive, you should be old enough to understand that you shouldn't try to take a 20 MPH turn at 50. It's common sense.

Sorry about your car, though. Sounds like you might have bent an axle or two, maybe busted a tie rod. Maybe worse.

You'll live, and learn. Next time you get the urge, think about a family of 4 headed around that same turn going the other way. Usually works for me. ;)

A old man once told me, "Life is 10% of what happens to you and 90% on how you react to it."

I've done some things that regret only motivated me to not do them again.

Good luck in getting your car fixed my friend.

Ha ha ha!!! Where did you do this at?

LOL, you should know better than that. Huntsville roads are bad, especially residential roads.

When I was 16, I had an Oldsmobile Achieva with 115 HP. Kinda hard to get sideways in that poor car, lol.

Sucks man, at least you're still alive.

If you know the roads, It was where Deaton meets Joshua(neighborhoods) right before Bailey Cove. It was a turn that the speed limit was like 15 and I was goin alittle faster than that, I jsut turned way to sharp and wet roads and a rear-wheel drive car do not mix. so I spun out and landed in the guys house next to it in his driveway.

LOL you need to slow down a little.

You kinda got lucky last night too, because the cops were on the prowl. On my way home I saw at least a half dozen, and had 3 pass me.

Also, since you hit your back wheel, make sure that your rearend is ok. You may have knocked something out of wack.

Kinda funny how I never did that... Hard to drive fast in a '79 VW Scirocco Next car was an '88 Ford Tempo! wOOt! I learned how to drive carefully in those rolling-junkyards!

its probably just your rear. shouldnt be too bad to fix, esp if you do it yourself.

either way, you are NOT ready for a V8.

I remember this kinda stuff "sigh" to be young again...

Just remember, a V8 has the power to swap ends - really well, so a z28 may have been worse.

We all need experiences like this to teach us a little humility. Very first week I had the bird, I backed right into my uncle's mailbox with it because it was in the blind spot and I went out too fast. Taught me a lesson when both him and my father gave me a good asskicking. Now that I'm (slightly) older and wiser, I'm a lot more careful, but we still make mistakes. I took a turn into a small parking lot too hard the other day (from asphalt on to slightly gravelly dirt) and I almost spun out, thankfully for ABS, positraction, and the skill I'd gained driving, I managed to avoid it. Still gave me a little scare, and each time you get a little wiser.

I had a POS caravan before I had the bird, and the suspension was shot - that teaches you pretty damn quick to not push it.

hmm.... lets seee im 17 now, had the car bout a year...

                            1. it was raining, i saw a camaro to my right and i was in the left turn lane, i get on it a little to much and do a 270, caught traction for a second, but it threw me into a 180 and i ended up driving RIGHT into a gas staion, then i continued to drive, and went out of the gas station out the exit down a ways, MAN did i feel STUPID!!...

I then practiced by doing donuts on my neighbors pasture and in many of my friends backyards...on the grass, but that smells....i can handle the car if it were to get away from me a little better now, ive learned real basic counter steering and such, pretty cool.

                            2. forgot hoodpins and was late for school. HAhaha........man that was a dumb one too... 240 bucks for the shield and now im buying a SUPERHAWK hood from Roger at USexotics, 650 shipped.... whoever said it before was right though, good excuse for upgrades

thats sounds bad. My friend did something really stupid becaus esome guy pissed him off, they blocked him in a corner when he was trying to back out and they started beeping at him and riding up on him closer just to be pricks. Well, he dropped the clutch at 3 grand in his eclipse, but he doesnt have powersteering. He torque steered into a small post and dented his fender really bad. He still managed to pull a nasty burnout after bouncing off the post.which was about 3 feet from his car when he dopped the clutch. It was embarrassing, yet he was pissed off beyond hell.

It really doesnt matter much through. He needed a new fender and bumper anyways, they were beat up badly before he bought the car last year.

Damnit, and there I was, telling everyone to be quiet and not to judge your driving when they dont know you, or not to base it off their crappy driving at 16, and now you go and pull this. I take back all I've said...

At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
