I can't put a poolin my back yard(not that I hvae much of one to do so.
    So if you put one in, what are they going to do about it? Make you pay a fine? Fill it with dirt? </font>
Don't know don't care... I am not going to spend $10k anytime soon, on my small litte townhome.

    Its not that bad... there are benfits you know...
    </font>
$10K? Our somewhat normal pool was close to $30K in 2002 with the best deal we could find, and home prices here have close to tripled since then so I'm sure pools have gone up too.

    We don't have a HOA, but our CC&R's are decently strict. No cars on the street overnight and nothing in the driveway for over 24 hours.. or maybe the other way around. They don't really enforce it and we've had a car in the driveway since I started driving, but I think it's more of a protection against people parking crappy cars outside. It does look a lot better without cars lining the street though.

      $30k or whatever...

      I have had a pool in my backyard for the first 18 years of my life. ITs not that great for the cost, and the cost of upkeep. My hoa has a much bigger pool then I could ever afford in my yard, and its less distance from my house compared to the distance I have to push my car through teh staging lanes at the track.

      ohh yeah, you also don't randomly have hot chicks in bikinis you don't know show up at your pool in your back yard often.

      I hate the car rules alot of places have, but you know what? I have had no problems. I have a narrow 2 car garage, that only has 1 car in it at a time, and a narrow 2 car driveway.

      I have had a car i the garage, 2 cars in the driveway, and 2 cars parked out front for months before. One of the cars even sat for like 3 weeks straight.

        I wasn't trying to correct you, but I thought maybe pools could be a hell of a lot cheaper in Florida or something. I've been in mine once this past summer, so I'll agree that it's definitely not worth the cost for me.

        Oh, and if you see this.. how many coats of Zaino did it take you before the swirls started hiding on the Vette? I'm just waiting for my first coat of Z-5 to dry now but the dealer did a crappy wax job when it was new and it's covered in swirls/scratches.
