There is 20w50 amsoil carries as well steve...using thicker oil may or may not help you with bearing failure though...I believe that all depends on what your tolerances are...tighter tolerances may not allow a thicker oil to get in there...irrc the first number (I.e the 10 in 10w30) is the tempetature factor...it's the second number "40" in my example that is the weight/thickness

Correct. I have a truck for a DD. The Camaro comes out on weekends, days with good weather, going to the track and car shows.

          1. Castrol GTX 10w30. Cheap and works just as well, especially since it still leaks.
          2. Hankook v12 Evo.
          3. Borla
          4. Hardtop. My other car already has t-tops.
          5. Stealth, I guess. My car's slow and quiet.

I know Amsoil has the 20W50 , I wanted a thinner oil for the turbo I thick the 40W will be better off for it and protect the engine at the same time.

                              1) Penzoil platinum fully synthetic/K&N Filter
                              2) Khumo Ecsta (way surprised at the traction in rain or dry)
                              3) Pacestter ceramic, 3" stepped down into 2 1/2 toward toward the rear. My first choice is Dynomax (though I'm currently running a magnaflow).
                              4) T-tops
                              5) A little too raspy for my taste, but hey, it's stainless, gained a dyno'd 5 hp (numbers between dynomax & Magna), so no worries.
