    5) Annonce your presence or stealthy

I'm just interested in how everyone likes it.

Edit: Take that last sentence how you will...

    Re: Preferences

    1: Mobile 1

2:Hmmm, I have Firestone Firehawks now, but wouldn't mind a set of Potenzas.

3: Borla, but an open cutout sounds good.

4: T-tops, but if I were to get another it would be hardtop.

5: Somewhere in the middle, my car isn't really too loud, but you can hear it.

          Re: Preferences

          1) Amsoil
          2) Hankook...verrrry happy with my ventus HRII's I had...going to be trying out the nitto extreme 555's shortly because Hankook doesn't make much for my vette rims other than the v12, and I feel its going to wear out too quick on me with a 280 tread wear
          3) Open cutout :D
          4) I have a hard top, but I would love T-tops
          5) Let my car announce it's own presence...there is no stealth when you can hear me from several blocks away

            Re: Preferences

            1) Valvoline Racing Synthetic when I can find it, or Valvoline SynPower.

            2) Whatever cheap all-seasons are one sale at the time. Road and weather conditions are horrible here, tires get eaten up.

            3) Dynomax Turbo

            4) T-Top if I had to choose, but I prefer my hardtop.

            5) Hard to choose. My car is pretty visually striking and rumbles nicely at cruise, but it only screams when I open the taps.

Funny story about 5, my neighbor challenged me to a drag in his Ford Probe GT and he seemed completely confident he would win. He didn't.

              Re: Preferences

With 1,I'm deciding if I want to use a high mileage oil for the first time, curious about tires, I have both a conv. and t-tops, and I'm getting a new exhaust system within two months, and my car is invisible at night, but not quiet...

                Re: Preferences

Amsoil has a high mileage XL oil, for higher mileage vehicles this is what I just bought a case of 10W40.

                  Re: Preferences

Why do you use such a heavy oil? Isn't 5/30 recommended?

                    Re: Preferences

I use 20/50 normally, since it gets 115-120 temps in summer the thicker oil helps against bearing failure and wear. I picked up the 10W40 for cheaper thats why I bought a case of it. It will never drop below 20 degrees or 10 degrees.

                      1) Oil.

                      Mobil 1 10w30

                      2) Tires

No particular order: Falken, Toyo, Nitto, Yokohama

                      3) Exhaust

                      Pacesetter Ceramic Coated Shorty Headers
                      Texas Speed Rumbler Cat-Back 3"
                      Catalytic Converter Deleted

                      4) Conv/T-tops

T-tops. It's like having a convertible without losing out on; rigidity, weight, comfort, stylish coupe looks, and cost.

                      5) Annonce your presence or stealthy

Depends on mood. I like that my car sounds best at town speed, so I guess I mostly like to announce.

So a freezing place should keep thinner... makes sense. I'm gunna run 10/30 er 10/40 over summer though.
