Re: 45th Anniversary Special Edition V6 Camaro

97's all had 25th logo's on the seats, IIRC. So technically they have had 25th anniv. v6 cars. *shrug*

EDIT: Also 20th's had rs v6's correct me if I'm wrong.

But hasn't there always been an "anniversary" options package available during certain years? Such that if you say "it's a '97 30th anniversary camaro" you assume it came from the factory as a white SS with orange stripes, right? Or would you just assume it might be a V6?

I was lucky enough to drive the SS and my god, I'd give my first born son for one. It is a beast.
I would have to agree with this. I think the 5th gens are one of the best and sexiest American muscle cars ever built. And with the 2012 V6 having 323 hp, that puts it just 2 hp behind the most powerfull 4th gen stock SS. I haven't driven one yet, but I did sit in the drivers seat of one, and it just feels 'right.' Everything is well placed, and it's very comfortable. Angles of the interior flow much better than our cars. The HUD looks killer and you never have to take your eyes off the road. Every person I've talked to that owns one says it is an awesome car, and wouldn't trade it for anything (and a couple of them were 4th gen owners, as well.)
