From the Craigslist ad:
"Motor was a 400/6.6 v8 but now has a 326v8 from a Tempest. It is an automatic. Has Hooker headers, intake and carb and brand new flowmaster super 44 mufflers that sound awesome. Car has 95K miles on body and was told about 85K on motor. It does start right up every time and run but is leaking some fluids. I am not a mechanic and I am not sure how to fix. Could be very easy. It seems to be just the valley pan...which I'm told is common on old Pontiacs. Interior is nice...from a Chevelle....just needs finishing. I have the pieces to finish ie. headliner ect. Paint is pretty cool, looks nice but isn't perfect. It does turn alot of heads."

Well it runs fine, shifts fine. Leaks oil at the valley pan like he said, does need some work but I think it's worth more than my car, lol.

I drove it and everything, seems alright.

I would pass, not really my cup of tea.. this doesnt look like a DD so if you have the time and an extra ride.. why not.

I like these kinda car's so I thought it was a perfect oppurtunity to own one.

I'll have another vehicle to drive so it's great deal for me.

Every car has things that can go wrong. My 96 wasnt gonna stop from having things go wrong either so it's not too terribly different.

This car will be much easier to fix, easier to inspect (No emmissions) and anyone can work on carbed cars, lol. :P

I guess as long as the body is straight and rust free, why not. Would make a rad project car and would be sick when its done, or whatever you have planned for it.

id do it in a heat beat. as long as the frame isnt rusted out, everything else is a peice of cake on those cars. you can drop damn near any motor you want in there if the current one dies.

rust. check for areas, trunk, right behind the rear tire on the very bottom, under the back seat. if it looks solid i believe i would do it. also check inside the glove box and door areas to see what the original color is, could let you know if it ever had, not only a paint job, but a restoration.

as for the nova comment, i LOVE novas. my favorite muscle car hands down. my dream is a black 68 396 ss...

Hey, just cuz its 25 years older than me doesn't mean that I don't love it. In the past year I've got to drive a 71 Challenger 440 and a 70 Chevelle with a 502.. I'll get pics within a week.
