    And those chrome 18s are gonna slow you WAY down. Lots of heavy rotational mass. I wouldn't be surprised if it knocked a whole second of your 1/4 time.

        As was said, you need to always race from a stop. That being said, you were probably WORSE off racing from a roll that fast after the gears. Gears help you accelerate faster 0-60 and will drop your 1/4 mile time, but they don't help your top end performance at all.

        You need to race him from a stop, then you'll be able to hold him off easily up to at least 80mph.

        BTW: unless your transmission is shifting WAY too early, correcting the shift points won't really affect your performance from a roll significantly (and it makes a difference of maybe .1 or .2 in the quarter mile at the most) This is in my experience from shifting to 3.42s from 3.08s. Granted your switch made more of a difference, but it probably will not affect your roll performance. At that speed you're not shifting very much, if at all.

        That said, get the shift points corrected. The inaccurate speedometer is a PITA too.

          yah im just gonna send my pcm off to texas speed within the new few weeks...does anyone know the turn around time from them with tuning....i cant really be without a car for more then a week...
