there is no way you can run 13.8 with just a b16 motor. I used to be a big street racer in High school and had two friends with civics like that. Their best ET was 14.5 if even that. And BTW they were excellent drivers. I got beat by those civics with my old firebird. The last time a non b16 or b18 civic beat me was when he sprayed a 75 shot, and he only beat me by 2 car lengths in the firebird.

i tend to agree with u . kristen im not saying its not possible, *cough* and that most hondudes lie bout their times *cough cough*(jk), but i find it hard to believe is all. i more prone to believe that time if they swaped to a H22 prelude motor with 220hp. but just a b18swap with no drivetrain or other upgrades is hard to believe.Originally posted by NSolano:

a b18c1 or b18c5 would make it pretty quick, but even then they are only looking at high-mid 14s NA. I know a guy with a b16 with intake, exhaust, header and 75 shot of nitrous that only hit a 13.8!
I have also seen a b18c1 swapped hatch with cams, intake, exhaust, header, and 75 wet shot that pulled a 12.8, but still, that car was lizight.
I haven't lost to a civic yet, but they just haven't tried to race me (corvette, camaro, or focus).
