• V8 vs V6 sway bars?

What are the different size sway bars that come on V6 and V8 f-bodies?

    V8s are 30/19 or 32/19 depending on Z28/SS or TA/WS6

Essentially what Dominic said. V6 sway bars were 30/17 up until '98, they went to 28/15 from 98+. V8 sway bars are 30/19, unless they are 1LE, then they are 32/21.

Thanks guys. So here is my question, if I put a 28 mm sway bar on the front of my car, will it launch better at the track? I've always heard if you remove the front sway bar it helps with weight transfer when launching. So if I put a thinner front sway bar on, will that help a little? I'm not crazy about the idea of removing the sway bar on my everyday driver. Thanks in advance!

Its very simple to remove and reinstall, takes all of 10 minutes I'd just do that or do nothing once you arrive at the track.

I installed 1LE sway bars front and rear on my car and couldn't believe the difference. By far the best mod so far!

I don't want better handling, I want better launching. I don't like the idea of taking my sway bar off every time I go to the track. I like to run my car in street trim. Thanls for the help guys. So will it help with weight transfer at all?

Was the difference in handling or from a dead stop launch?
