Decarbons are stock for v8s. v6 shocks just suck, so pretty much anything is an improvement.Black 1996 3.8L Firebird A4
--------------------------
Custom CAI, Flowmaster Dual Exhaust, 160 Deg Thermo, BMR ShockTower Brace
JVC mp3 HU, two 12\" Infinity Kappa Perfects, Infinity 6.5\" components, JBL 600.1 & 80.4 amps
Pics

deCarbons are stock on all 1998+ V6 and V8 firebirds. Its simply the AC Delco name given to the stock shock. They are ORANGE in color.
$50 for all 4 @ SLP, best deal going. Takeoff V8, brand new part, same as what comes on new V6s.
This is not a Y87 option, its standard.2002 5-spd NBM Camaro

Upgrading a 96 to the stiffer valved deCarbons is a great idea for a low cost handling modification! Even upgrading it to the new V6 springs is not a bad idea either.
When you said SLP, did you mean the takeoff or the Bilsteins they sell?2002 5-spd NBM Camaro

I've heard that the deCarbons and Eibachs work fine together. I have the pro kit, and some decarbons with 10 miles on them sitting in my room right now. I was told by many that I shouldn't have any problems with it. So I'm just gonna wait until I get new tires and install them, shocks, springs, and gears all at the same time.Black 1996 3.8L Firebird A4
--------------------------
Custom CAI, Flowmaster Dual Exhaust, 160 Deg Thermo, BMR ShockTower Brace
JVC mp3 HU, two 12\" Infinity Kappa Perfects, Infinity 6.5\" components, JBL 600.1 & 80.4 amps
Pics
