I heard once, possibly just a rumor, that a C4 vette rear axle will fit on a modern day firebird or camaro quite nicely - and will allow one to have an independant rear suspension

Is this true? Does anyone have any links or photos of such being done? All I could find was a retorfit C4 axle on a 1967 Camaro... which I might add was pretty darn awesome.

You have lost your mind. :D

There is a white fourth gen camaro rollin in colorado with a custom 4-link rear end. That is about all i could get out of the guy. I would like to see something like this done.

Actually you haven't lost your mind Cardy because I heard the same thing. I don't know if it is true, but I thought there was some kind of small modifications that you had to make (maybe there was a kit).

considering the way the rear end is mounted it seems like this would be pretty tough to do.. see the chunk (aka hogs head) and such of the corvette is auctually mounted to the frame of the car all we have above our axle is some thin sheetmetal and a fuel tank.. I guess it could be done I would love to see pics of this if someone is doing it.

True true... and yes I love the handling of my car even with a live axle - no complaints

            I just thought I'd ask :D

I saw a site that had a kit a long time ago. I was looking for it today as a matter of fact. Haven't found it yet, but i am still looking.
