Panhard Bar

What exactly does the panhard bar do? Do our cars already have one? I was looking at the one on SLP's site for $79 and it seems like it would really help with launching and cornering. Is this true?

basically it helps keep the rear end centered on the car, as in keeps it from shifting from side to side, though it should still be able to shift some upgradeing the panhard will decrease this.

Just about right, except it doesn't just help. It's a suspension arm that is the _only_ thing absorbing side forces. Go into a corner without it and the LCAs would twist like a pretzel.

BTW, there is a reasonable opinion that says the only really weak thing about the stock Panhard is the bushings.

Either replace the stock soft rubber bushings with ES poly in both the LCA and PHR, or get the 1LE LCA and PHR with HARD rubber bushings already installed.

I had the Energy Suspension bushings in my stock bar at first, and the bought a MAC panhard bar because I got an awesome deal on it. To be honest, I couldn't tell too much difference between the ES buishings and the tubulat MAC bar. Now, I have the ES bushings if anyone is interested.
