He didn't like the 235's in the goodyear's that he replace with the potenza's. He had 245/50's put on.

Why stick with 235/55? Buy some wide n comfy 255/50's

RE910s are better than GAs, but almost any tire is better than a GA. For the money, I'd rather have Kumho 712s.

A wise choice, just don't run them in snow and you're fine.

Kumho 712's are probably the worst snow tire on the planet (so I hear). If you want a better snow/rain/dry tire get a Dunlop SP5000 - they actually have *some* grip in the frozen stuff.

As far as rain or dry conditions go, the Kumho is it

I used to have those tire, but I had a bad experince with them. check the other post about Bridgestones for the full story.

I say go for the Kumho's or some Firestone Firehawks, I love mine!! Both have REALLY GOOD wet and dry handling, just don't try and take themout in the snow or ice.

I will say that potenza's RE910's rock. But the kumho 712's also get great reviews as well, so you won't go wrong either way. My next set will be a toss-up between potenza RE950's & kumho 712's.

I have run mine in the snow and they are not the best, I could still get around, but then again I have yet to come across tires that are good in the snow on the back of an F-body.

At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
Ultralites are nearly 25% lighter than the stock 1.6 rockers and 8% lighter than the SLP aluminum...
