  • Need shocks and spring advice.

Well it seems my shocks and springs are gone. I don't want to spend too much, so what do you guys recomend? I would like a little firmer ride and not worried about lowering the car.

    Thanks!

Springs don't really wear out. They break in and then it's all the same for a long time. Get yourself some Bilsteins HDs. They're like $300 now a days. Used to be $400. You can get 1LE springs if you want also. $160 something from GM parts.

If you just want the stock ride back you can pickup an entire set of 4 V8 Take-Off shocks (Same ones used on all the new fbodies) for $50. Not a bad deal really if you just want the normal ride back =)!

Don't get those, theyre absolute junk.

Get takeoffs or buy bilsteins, there really is nothing better for less. Bilsteins are $299 and Takeoffs are $50.

At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
Ultralites are nearly 25% lighter than the stock 1.6 rockers and 8% lighter than the SLP aluminum...
