    Will they/can they fit on a 1996 Camaro V6?

    I love these wheels

I accually only want the painted silver wheels (perhaps have them polished)
I have seen them for about 450 before.

They won't fit exactly right. You will need to do some grinding on your axle. It's no big deal.

he is correct...the cars are compeletly different, engine size compeletely changes lug pattern you will have to grind to get them to fit

If you don't know anything keep your great knowledge of nothing off the boards. In 97 the changed the size of the rims ever so sligthly. I had 97 rims on my car and I had to use a crowbar to get them off. 97+ are slightly smaller.

in 97 the hub size is reduced just a pinch. But the change is enough so that stock 97+ wheels barely fit on 96 and before.. they will go on TIGHTLY if you do not sand down the inside of the wheel a little.

My current rear end is from a 94 3.4 and I had to sand down the center hole of my wheels just a pinch so they would fit onto the rear smoothly.

I know of several other people who had to do this as well.

So if I do pick up a set of these wheels, the accual inside of the wheel or the axle will have to be shaved.

There isn't a safety concern with shaving the wheel/axle?

I am sorry for the stupid questions, I just don't want to make a costly mistake.

In 97 they changed. You have a 98 so you're ok.

Edit: Mine is the 5 spoke.
