im changing my shocks and spring in the next couple of wks and i was checking out how to do it myself and i saw my bump stop and they are jacked up chunks missing very bad but anyways i checked gmdirectparts and they have some for about 37 each but my question is are they the same left and right? i cant really tell since mine are not in the best shape and when i click on both they 4 to my cart which is weird.
if anyone can tell me they are the same left to right that way i can order them thanks!
Poly won't crack and fall to pieces after a few years.
08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake
96' Camaro M5 to A4 conversion, alot of mods . GT35R Turbo full suspension. Built engine
In the extreme compressed state, the factory bump stops essentially add to the spring rate to progressively absorb the bump as it compresses, whereas the poly has much less give and could present poor handling characteristics in more extreme situations. The bump stops are a more active part of the suspension than you might think, and come into contact with the axle on even relatively mild bumps, so I would suggest sticking to stock. Strano even mentions drilling holes in the polyurethane bump stops to reduce the rigidity and act more like the factory stops.
thanks! yea i was iffy on the poly ones even if they are only 27 bucks ill look around a junk yard if i can find some its pretty hard to find maro's and bird's here in houston but if i cant ill order from gmdirectparts thanks again
