i myself would buy the dual 2 ohm. break it down to one ohm, get all 500w to your sub...

The amp runs it's peak 500W @ 2 ohms final load, so that's what you want. Get the 4 ohm DVC and wire it in parallel to get a 2 ohm final load, and therefore get the peak performance out of it and not destroy your amp in the process. That amp isn't stable at 1 ohm load.

DUAL 4 OHM! The first link you posted. SWR-1042D. TheGr8 is correct. The two voice coils will be wired as pictured, in parallel, for a final load of 2 ohms.

ok and then just use the jumpers to connect + and - to each other? And the + and - cable from the amp can just hook to either of those terminals?

Don't really understand what your saying. The diagram should be more than enough to show you exactly what you need to do. The + and - on the top and bottom each represent a voice coil on the sub. They are grouped just like that on the speaker itself. The lines on the diagram are wires. Just take a look at the sub and the amp, it really is quite self explanatory.

                        Pretty clear in that picture.

Connect all the positives together.... including the positive on the amp. Then connect all the negatives together.... including the negative on the amp.
