Yes, you will need everything in the link I gave you. A kit with a gauge costs more anyway. You want the wide band data in the HPtuners log so you can see what the AFR was at any time while you were recording.

lol...I know with wires...I think I may need to purchase a special wire...this is only coming with the controller and O2 sensor only...so I dont know...does the controller hook up to the laptop?...I thought the website shows some sort of serial cable...where can I buy that?

If it doesn't come with the programing cable don't bother with it. Your not saving anything. It hooks up to the HPT pro interface, or through the PCM with the EGR but the out puts need to be programed.

ok, so this is the deal...I got hp tuners pro, and I went to go licence the PCM and I get an error message saying that I have an invalid VIN/OS ...so I contacted hp tuners and they said its cause the vin is invalid....said to see if a gm dealership can flash in a regular 97 file...so I am kinda screwed...I dont know what to do...There is no way a gm dealership in my area will flash in a different vin code then my own.

I guess it may not work cause pcmforless flashed in my 96 vin into this 97 pcm?

Can you read the tune At all? If not then you will need a stock 97 PCM or you might contact PCM for less and see what they have to say.

I can read the tune but I can't licence it...Infact when I read the tune it even says 1997 v6 camaro

however if you look at the VIN Number it is my actual 1996 vin number...apparently this is why it is spitting it back out...

Will it let you edit the VIN?
