  • Quick compatibilty questions

There's a PCM from an 01 Camaro in the for sale section. It has been dynotuned using the same cam I have, and very similar mods. Would it work just fine in my 97 Camaro, even though that one is an auto and mine is a manual? I thought I could since the shift tables won't even be looked at in my 97, so it wouldn't matter if it's an auto or manual PCM. It will be something to hold me over until I can get a real dynotune locally.

no the pcm would be different. You need a 97 for your 97 car.

O, there are PCM changes between 97 and 01? Didn't know that. Thanks man.

BTW- what pistons are you using for your build? I was thinking of getting some and upping the compression since I have to replace one anyways.
