how do i remove the top speed limiter on the camaro? 3.4 1993

mostly stock, can the car do much more than what the limiter is set to? i have a 3.8 1996, and i too would like to know how to remove the top speed limiter.

i had a 99 with no limiter, the speedometer would bottom out and car was still gaining speed. then i had to start slowing down as the back end started feeling funny. now i have this 97 and they dont make a limiter remover.

bobby, you could buy a 98 pcm and tune it

I think that mostly stock 3.8s can get up into the 130s, but I wouldnt try it

he has a 97 so he can get rid of the speed limiter with any tuner. no need for a 98 pcm

I have had my 97 car up to 135 already.

id have to send it off, they dont make a tuner for 97s, atleast from what i can find.

uh, yea...um HP tuners and DHP both tune the 97 cars. ;)

I personally use hp tuners

i am stock except for intake and a driveshaft... i got a replacement clutch that is good for 400hp i think it was a stage 1 from centerforce or something like that... i dont have the info i just got it and put it in.. and i just want to know if i need to take it to a place to have the limiter taken off or just get a flash programmer and do it myself.
