So , you finnaly killed it.. look for L67 out of Grand Prix GTP. Its better engine for boost.

will those be a direct mount up tho??...and im not 100% sure that i totally killed my motor....what we are leaning towards right now are that the Cam bearings went which if thats the case thats not a hard fix

              Re: SES light on...please help

not a hard fix? My haynes manual says you have to get a shop to do those.
but I guess it could be possible

                Re: SES light on...please help

no i plan on having a shop doing the work no matter how simple/hard it is. I was simply refering to Cost wise $$$ comparable to it being a crankshaft bearing/rod bearing (more expensive) then it simply being a camshaft bearing....

by the way it looks...its my camshaft bearings...the warmer my car gets, the more the oil pressure drops. It idles very violantly and theres a loud knocking on the Top end of the motor...when i drove it, when i let off the gas the car wouldnt slow down, it was like still at the same speed i let of the gas at. To slow down i would hafto hit the brakes. As far as i know, i dont think its a crankshaft bearing...and im not reading any missfire anymore, just lean bank 1 and lean bank 2

                  Re: SES light on...please help

i think its kinda normal for the oil to drop pressure after the engine/coolant has heated up. (depends on the oil you use) I saw that happening alot when my engine was overheating with 5w-30. Heat thins out the oil.
                  I'm no expert though.
You really should get a wideband, then you really would know if its lean.
My friends car keeps accelerating after you let off the gas, you have to hit the brake hard. Maybe its a bad TPS sensor? Or maybe a sticky throttle blade? wish i knew
                  GOOD LUCK TO YA!

                    Re: SES light on...please help

.. first , your oil should be 20W50 , syntetic pref. second, it will knock if it lean. Get the wideband asap and post your log file. it needs to be tuned, maybe its nothing wrong with your cam yet.

have you tuned your car after turbo install?? you need to pull some timing(retard) and target 11.5:1-11.8:1 AFR .
Read the vipers guide and do it before its not to late : http://www.turbov6camaro.com/tune.htm

i did read vipers guide...and tuned it before it started knocking...its deff. a top end knock...now i have a question...

if im reading lean bank 1 and 2, would that cause a really really loud knocking sound on the top end?? cause just from being lean, i dont think it would knock this loud...

it wont idle worth anything also...and as soon as i go in drive, my oil pressure drops right down to almost 0 so its not detonation from being lean...i have internal motor problems
